Adopt-A-Projects
Below is a list of projects to raise funds for children in need.
Sponsor a Child – Provide hope to a child in need with a small contribution from your chapter, through Plan International (sponsorship is just $24/month/child) or World Vision.
Provide Supplies for Specific Health Clinics - Find out what’s needed and what you can do or donate to help those in need through Planetaide.
Buy animals to provide for a family - Purchase animals that will benefit families & their community through Heifer International.
Build A School - Provide a safe space for children to learn and become educated and give them opportunities they could never have had before through Free the Children. At $3500-$15,000 depending on school location & size, this could be done as an ongoing project.
Provide land and farming tools for fatherless families in Nicaragua - Ensure families in patriarchal societies can live without the household head through Free the Children, at $600 for each family.
Raise scholarships for girls overseas - Fund education for girls that might otherwise not receive it. “If you educate a boy, you educate just a boy. If you educate a girl, you educate an entire family.” – Ms.Usha Acharya, Director of The Bahini Fund Girls’ Scholarship Program. Find out more through Room to Read, at $250 a year.
Raise money to support Polio eradication – We’re already close to this goal; campaign success is measurable and eradication is forever. Find out more at CARE USA.
Donate to established programs providing clothes, food & good health - There are many other organizations and programs working to help provide for children in need worldwide. Take a look at Warm Blankets, Children International, Sleeping Children Around the World, or Free the Children.
