The Millennium Developement Goals are eight goals addressing many of the developing world's problems that are to be achieved by 2015. These goals were drawn from the actions contained in the Millennium Declaration (.pdf) during the UN Millennium Summit in September, 2000. Click below for a complete list of the Goals:

MDG Report 2006
Each year, the Inter-Agency and Expert Group on MDG Indicators led by the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations secretariat, compiles an assessment of progress towards the goals.
